Add a Venue & Courts
Adding Venues and Courts to MLC is simple and straightforward.
1.
Go to Businesses
Click on "BUSINESS" in left menu bar.
2.
Show Venues
Click on the "Venues" tab to see a list of venues to to add a new one.
3.
Add a Venue
Click on the "+" icon to add a new venue. This will open the Venue Information dialogue.
4.
Short Name
Enter the "Short Name" of the venue. This is the form that will appear in tables and lists and MLC.
5.
Proper Name
Enter the "Proper Name", as it will be listed in legal documents and correspondence.
6.
Phone
Enter the main "Phone" number of the venue.
7.
Fax
Enter the main "Fax" of the venue.
8.
Venue Notes
Type in any notes about the venue that you'd find helpful.
9.
Venue Contact Type
Choose a "Contact Type" from the drop down for your primary contact at this venue.
10.
Venue Contact Salutation
Choose the applicable "Salutation" for your contact.
11.
Venue Contact First Name
Enter your venue contact's "First Name".
12.
Venue Contact Last Name
Enter your venue contact's "Last Name".
13.
Venue Contact Phone
Enter your venue contact's "Phone" number.
14.
Venue Contact Fax
Enter your venue contact's "Fax" number.
15.
Venue Contact Email
Enter your venue contact's "Email" address.
16.
Physical Address: County
17.
Physical Address: Street
18.
Physical Address: City, State, & Zip
19.
Physical Address County
20.
Mailing Address: Street
21.
Mailing Address: Street
22.
Mailing Address: City, State, & Zip

Save & Next

Court Details: Court Name
25.
Court Details: Location
26.
Court Details: Phone
27.
Court Details: Fax

Motion Line 1
Enter Motion Line 1 as you want it to appear in documents.

Motion Line 2
Enter Motion Line 2 as you want it to appear in documents.
30.
Motion Line 3
Enter Motion Line 3 as you want it to appear in documents.

Add Contact
Click on "Add Contact" to add a new court contact for this court.
32.
Court Contact: Contact Type
Select the "Contact Type" from the drop down.
33.
Court Contact: Salutation
Select the appropriate "Salutation" for the contact from the drop down.
34.
Court Contact: First Name
Enter the court contact's "First Name".
35.
Court Contact: Last Name
Enter the court contact's "Last Name".
36.
Court Contact: Phone
Enter the court contact's "Phone" number.
37.
Court Contact: Fax
Enter the court contact's "Fax" number.
38.
Court Contact: Email
Enter the court contact's "Email" address.
39.
Done!
You can click on "Add Contact" to create another contact for this court, or "Add New Court" to create another court in the same venue. Otherwise click on "Save & Next" to save your entry and return to the venue list screen.
